Is Vagifem Effective In Treatment Of Recurrent UTIs?

I had breast cancer two years ago. After a mastectomy the oncologist put me on Letrozole to further deplete my body of estrogen as I had estrogen positive breast cancer. Six months ago I had my first UTI. I ve had 5 UTI s since December. The oncologist prescribed Vagifem the other day to help stop the frequency of the UTI s and assured me that the estrogen would not compromise the effects of the Letrozole . I questioned her about the bladder versus the vagina and I said this is a UTI, not an infection of the vagina. How can Vagifem treat UTI s? I haven t inserted it yet but was planning on doing it today. Thanks
