General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is not advisable to take someone else's medication without consulting a doctor, even if it is the same medication. Valsartan is considered for treating high blood pressure, but it is essential to determine the cause of your elevated diastolic and reduced systolic blood pressure before starting any medication.
A diastolic blood pressure of 67 mmHg is considered low, while a systolic blood pressure of 167 mmHg is considered high. Your symptoms of flushing and headache may be related to your blood pressure, but it is important to seek medical attention to determine the underlying cause and to receive appropriate treatment. You should consult with your doctor to determine the best course of action for managing your blood pressure.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
You need following investigation ECG, heart rate, BP, lipid profile, EEG, these tests will tell why BP rises, Valsartan effect comes after 2 weeks of proper treatment, dry cough can come, and blood urea nitrogen raised rarely in one or two persons. Sleeping pills will do temporarily but take psychologist prescription for drugs. Sleep well, eat well.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
