Is Zinc Supplement Advisable For Intermittent Bouts Of Ageusia?

I am experiencing loss of taste particularly in the morning. Condition comes and goes, and have experienced it for about a month. It was suggested by a retired Pharmacist friend of mine that a Zinc Supplement may be effective for this condition. Do you have any other suggestions, and also appreciate your input relative to Zinc. Thank you. Jerry Forget it. I thought this was a free service. Thank you.

Hi, the condition is due to insensitivity of taste buds in a particular part of a tongue. I don't think that mere supplementation of zinc is sufficient. It needs a perfect diagnosis of underlying cause. Consult a neurologist or endocrinologist to rule out any associated problem.
