Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the doctor for the first time since 2013. My main reason for going was to get my thyroid checked because I have been trying to get pregnant with no luck for the last 3 years. My TSH level came back 1.52 in a ranage of .36 - 3.74. Is this normal?? Also a couple others came back high (RBC, HCT) and others low ( Hemoglobin a1c, RDW-SD) does this mean anything or any possible risks for dieases?
Your TSH is within normal range. So need to worry about thyroid problem. You have written other laboratory values such how much RBC, hematocrit or HbA1c. High RBC or hematocrit (how much high?) count does not cause not infertility. Low HbA1c does not cause infertility. High HbA1c causes problem and is due to diabetes. These laboratory results are insignificant and unrelated to infertility. There are many causes of infertility. You need more investigation and checkup. Investigations are needed for your partner also. Consult a gynecologist for diagnosis of causes of infertility. Take your partner also. I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
