Is A Light Application Of Tropics To The Affected Joints Safe?
Ketoprofen cream was prescribed 50 mg/ml for my Mom. She had a brain bleed on Dec 24 she is home and doing well. She is on Keppra, Norvasc and 25mg Hydroclorothiazide. My sister who is an ICU nurse does not want to administer because of brain bleed/possible stroke to alleviate my Moms pain in her knees and back of calves. We are in dispute. I had a Senior Care business and my residents loved the instant pain relief offered by topicals while waiting for the pills to take effect and sometimes they did not need to take an oral. The topical was enough. Is a light application to the affected joints safe?
Hi I think topical application is safe for your mom as it work locally and the amount of the drug reaching the blood is very less it will not increase your mom bleeding. Of it was in oral form it would have increased your mom bleed but topical does not. Get well soon. Thank you.
