OK I crashed on my longboard last night and it caused a mild bit of road rash on my right hip around the area is partially numb but if I push on it there is feeling underneath is this normal and will go away in time or something I should get checked out
Surely yes, for the following reasons: This part of the body is on the midway, has a bone under the skin and the fall can cause impacted fracture that is not easily diagnosed in some cases. Hence I would advise you the following: First of all, consult your Doctor for clinical examination and get at least an X-ray to confirm. Take a shot of Tetanus toxoid. Get an appropriate local treatment with Liquid Betadine and dressing. Oral anti-inflammatory and antibiotics as required. The opinion of Orthopedic Surgeon if required. The numbness will usually go away within a few weeks or months once the healing of the nerves occurs.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
