Is Amoxicillin Sufficient To Treat Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breathe Caused After Suffering From Sinus Infection?
Started just before Christmas with a sinus infection and went through 2 rounds of amoxycillin. Now have been coughing so hard my chest hurts, short of breathe, hard to take a breathe, I have a bit of tinitis but it is really bad an ringing, I just can't seem to shake it. Have been drinking emergen-c and dringing tea. Pharmacist called DR to refill amoxycilling do you think that will take care of it?
The symptoms you are describing fit pneumonia. The cough , shortness of breath and chest pain with cough are all signs of pneumonia. Amoxicillin will not help you in pneumonia. You need to take a different antibiotic. I cannot tell which antibiotic to take without knowing if you have any allergies to any drugs. You should contact your primary care physician and tell him about your current symptoms. He will put you on a different antibiotic after doing some blood tests and a chest xray. Hope that answers your question.
