Is Apo-pentoxifylline Sr 400g Effective For Periferral Neuropathy?
I have periferral neuropathy in my feet and have for about 4or 5 years and my doctor did not prescribe any thing till about a couple of years ago and that was apo-pentoxifylline sr 400g. 3 times a day. I found them too hard to swallow (because of the size, too large) so I just stopped, Didin t notice any difference, good or bad. Thank you. Win
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You have got peripheral neuropathy, not taken care for 2 years. And now started the pentoxyfylline, you have stopped it taking due to its larger size. It is a drug used for peripheral vasodialatation, in case of vascular problems. Peripheral neuropathy is usually a result of the deficiency of B complex, vitamin A and hypertension, anemia or diabetes. I advise you to consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically. Supplements of vitamin B,A,D,and calcium. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
