Is Basal Cell Carcinoma Treatment In 4 Months Time Too Long?
my aunt was diagnosed with Basal cell carcinoma skin cancer and she has already had it for 2 months. her doctor said that they will began treatment in two more months. we are concerned that 2 months will be too long to wait because by the time she has the treatment, she will have had the cancer for 4 months. is this amount of time too long to have this skin cancer? should we treat it sooner?
You are absolutely right. 4 months is too long a time for basal cell carcinoma. Although it is a slow growing tumor and rarely spreads to other areas, it is still a cancer nonetheless. In this period, it will atleast increase in size and increase the magnitude of the surgery required. I dont understand the need to wait 4 months.
