Is Being Lethargic Normal For An Infant After Cured Fever And Vomiting By Medications Calpol, Oflomac M Forte?
Hi Doc, Our 10 month old baby vomited ( thick ) mid night and was down the next day. Developed fever 101F in the evening. He was given Calpol to bring the fever down which came down the next day. Electrolytes and Oflomac M Forte was also given. With Oflomac M Forte doc suggested vomiting is getting evoked so it was stopped. Its been 4 days now and he is though not having fever and vomiting now, but is very lethargic. He was given domped till today though to stop vomiting. Currently on electrolytes. Is it diarreah or has he catched cold ? Its cold here these days in India. Pl suggest doctor . Thanks Regards A
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic It looks like cold. Most of the medicines prescribed for cold cause drowsiness. As your child is lethergic continue with calpol only. As it is a viral infection you need not give any antibiotics. Steam inhalation once or twice to get relief from cold. Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
