General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There can be transient episode of black stool upto 7-10 days after surgery as there is internal healing process and friction of newly anastomosed site of the intestine.

Black stool at the period of 2 months of surgery cannot be considered as normal and must be presented to the operating gastrosurgeon immediately without any sort of delay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
