Is Bleeding After Intercourse Normal Despite A Heavy Previous Period?

i had an abortion on July where i was bleeding for 16 days, after that it stopped and started to have intercourse with my husband. 9 day later i had my period, it was heavy and lasted for 15 days. I started having intercourse with my husband, after 3 days i started to bleed again. Is this normal??

Hi there,

No, its not normal to bleed irregularly after an abortion.
It would be best to get an ultrasound done to see if any bits are still in the womb and if the abortion is complete or not. If any bits are still present they could get infected and you could get fever as well. Moreover infections in womb can cause difficulty in getting pregnant later. Get an ultrasound done and see a Gynaecologist immediately.
