Is Bleeding And Stomach Pains Normal During Pregnancy?
Hello Doctor,
I have slight bleeding on tuesday. I am 6 weeks 6 days pregnant. I am having small pains in my lower stomach. Doctor suggested me to have HCG injections , sylate and Susten VT.
Please could you help me know the reason of pain? Is my Pregnancy Okay?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Pain and bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to : 1. Ectopic pregnancy 2. Threatened abortion 3. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage,) These can be diagnosed by proper examination and ultrasound. Susten is a progesterone which supports the pregnancy by making uterine environment more favourable for foetus. Sylate is ethamsylate which is given to control the bleeding. hCG injection is given to support the pregnancy. I would suggest you to get a ultrasound done, if not done earlier, to confirm the cause of bleeding and pain and get the treatment accordingly. In the meantime, do continue taking drugs as advised by your doctor. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Regards, Dr Deepti Verma
