Is Blood In The Stool And Fluctuating Fever Sign Of Bowel Disease?

My 4 year old son had diarhea starting Tuesday night, by Wednesday afternoon blood was coming out. he has had up and down fevers and has thrown up every time he's tried to eat. We have done stool samples but that's it. we are waiting for results. can you tell me what it would be. we have Bowel disease in both sides of the family including myself with Ulcerative colitis

Hi, Thanks for asking. In my opinion yes it could be the bowel disease or it could be a infective colitis which can be treated with antibiotics. The stool sample report of your child with be more guiding.
