Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had reading for blood pressure 147/81,in this range usually . I started taking jardiance 3 days ago,my readings are now 122/67,feeling very tired. I am also on metoprolol 100mg twice a day and losartan 12.5 once a day.i also take metformin in 500 mg twice a day. Just to round things out I am on rosuvastatin 10 mg and 5 mg at bedtime. And Pantoprazole once a day. I am 59 years old,do not smoke, over weight. Is my blood pressure a good reading? My blood sugar has dropped to the 9 was in the 13 with an average of 7.5 before.
Your actual blood pressure values seem to be within the normal ranges.
The fatigue could be related to Metoprolol, which is known to cause such adverse effect.
What are your actual heart rate values? Reducing the dose of Metoprolol to half (50 mg) would help improve your situation, without causing a further increase in blood pressure values.
You should discuss with your doctor about the above issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
