Is Blood Pressure Of 160/70 A Cause For Concern?

Namaskar sir... I had a severe chest pain five days back while climbing a hill... I was not able to lift my right hand above to my chest hight.... Two days back I went to doctor... My b. p. was 160/70that time... Now while coughing, some trace of blood is coming with cough.... My doctor gave me medicine for hypertension I. e. Abenolol

You have not mentioned which investigation you have done...

Your work up done as follow...
-Auscultation
-Chest x ray
-CBC
-EKG
-Tread mill
-Echo only if needed

According to cause specific treatment given

For hypertension continue prescribed drug...

As blood in sputum present Hence x ray is prescribed here.... (to rule out bronchitis)

According to reports further management plan decided

If from above reports infection is present than antibiotic prescribed

Take care

Consult physician or pulmonologoist for examination
