Is Blood Pressure Value Of 127/59 A Cause For Concern?

I have noticed recently that my blood pressure readings are changing with the higher value increasing slightly and the lower value reducing. When I took my reading this morning it was 127 over 59. What is the significance of an increasing gap between the values?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
You have not mentioned your age. BP varies with age. Blood pressure 127/59 mm Hg is fine and is under normal range. Your blood pressure rises with each heartbeat and falls when your heart relaxes between beats. BP changes from minute to minute with changes in posture, exercise, stress or sleep. Normal range is 120 – 140 (systolic)/60 – 90 (diastolic) mm Hg. A single high or low reading does not necessarily mean that you have high or low blood pressure. It should be constantly high or low to mark it as high or low BP respectively. More attention is given to the systolic blood pressure as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Your systolic BP is 127 mm Hg and is perfect. In most people, systolic blood pressure rises steadily with age due to increasing stiffness of arteries. That is why, people over the age of 50 years have higher normal range and is considered normal.
Advice
1.     Regular exercise at least 30 minutes for 5 days in a week. The best exercises for maintaining BP are walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and dancing
2.     Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol
3.     Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and caffeinated beverages
4.     Lose extra weight if you are overweight and keep your body mass index between 19 and 25. BMI is calculated by formula BMI = Weight in Kilograms / (height in meters x height in meters)
5.     Reduce your metal stress because stress activates sympathetic system and increases BP
6.     Measure your BP regularly and consult your doctor if it goes out of normal range
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
