Hello Dear,
There is no easy way to lose weight although clients would love to just pop a pill or lay on a bed and expect it to melt away on its own.
Texas has banned Ceragem from marketing in that state although not technically a scam, I cannot see how it would help you lose weight. It might help a sore back or some other oddities, but not
weight loss.
Cut your portions in half, work out at 60-75% of your Maximum heart rate
(if you want me to help calculate and set up an exercise program please write me at my bit.ly link at http://www.bit.ly/askkathyshattler.
PCOS or
polycystic ovary syndrome is tricky to deal with as your hormones are off, you are insulin resistant so do not metabolize sugar and fats efficiently without causing problems and many other issues.
Quit drinking or eating added sugars, especially high fructose corn syrup. Stick to a low
saturated fat and get your
omega-3 fatty acids in every day.
Cut out juice and soda and limit yourself to two fresh fruit per day.
Your water question is not true. But, eating breakfast that contains a source of protein and maintaining adequate hydration of 8-10 cups of water per day depending on heat factors, you will stimulate your
metabolism first thing in the morning.
A safe amount of weight to lose is 2 pounds of body fat per week. Also with PCOS some individuals are put on
Metformin. This also assists with weight loss should your doctor feel it might be beneficial.
A mix of cardio and strength training routine equaling 200-250 minutes per week will help with the
insulin resistance and weight loss.
I am sorry I cannot give you a better opinion on the ceragem.
To your healthy and achieving your goals, Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
