Chemotherapy will stop further proliferation of cancer cells and stabilize the condition. Sometimes the cancer cells will multiply and involve adjacent structures even after surgery. In these patients, it is recommended to give chemotherapy and radiation to kill the remaining cancer cells if present. As the biopsy showed high grade of cancer cells, therefore there is need to proceed with chemotherapy even after surgery. The objective it to cure or prolong survival of your husband. Stage 3 tumors can be tried to be cured completely in many people.
