Is Chest Congestion, Curable By Deriphyllin Retard 300mg?

Hello Doctor Good Day, I have been suffering from severe Phlegm congestion and cough for the past 3 weeks. I was given Cephalexin, Claritromycin and Amoxcillin in the past 3 weeks and I feel much better. But the Phlegm in chest still causes coughing at times and I get wheezing when I walk for long or when I am in bed. I was suggested by my family to take Deriphyllin but by mistake I had bought Deriphyllin Retard 300mg. Now what I would like to know if Its ok for me to take half tab in morning and half tab by night. Will this help to cure my cough and congestion in chest?

The symptoms told by you in the form of congestion and cough indicate respiratory tract infection. The presence of wheezing indicates lower respiratory tract infection involving the lungs.
The treatment in the form of antibiotics by cephalexin and bronchodilator, Deriphylline is in right direction, but you need to be under regular supervision to prevent complications. Both these drugsd will help in your condition.
