Is Chest Showing Scars On Side Of Lungs After Completion Of TB Therapy For 6 Months Normal?

hi doctor my name is raj i m going to finish my tubrcluosis therapy for six months but my chest still showing the scars on the up side lungs . what but u recon it is still tb or i need to take more medication or i need to stop it .please tell me breifly thx

I completely understand your question
actually healed lesion in tb is common, any disease or a wound inside lungs or inside body heals by stepwise manner , one step is fibrosis , so if the effected area has fibrosis and there is no clinical symptoms , or improved symptoms and weight gain and in sputum smear for afb is negative you can easily stop att but if symptoms are still present like wt loss , fever , loss of appettite ,
no need to worry about but to finally rule out by chest xray , sputum smear for afb.
consult a pulmonologist
so fibrosis is not indicative of active disese , confirmation is sone by smear for afb test
