Is Cholesterol Level Of 270 A Cause For Concern?

Hello, I ve been diagnosed with high cholesterol ( 270 count) and was prescribed Restorative Formulations Cholestertol Care Supplements which I take 2 pills/ 2x daily. I ve also reduced my egg intake. I already eat a well balanced diet and exercise 4x weekly, so I assume my rise in cholesterol is attributed to my age ( 55 ) and menopause and genetics... what else can I do? I refuse to take a statin at this time. Do you have a supplement you recommend?

Your cholesterol is slightly high. It should be below 200 mg/dL. You can take statin such as atorvastatin in low dose. It will not harm you. It is most effective and safe medicine for bringing raised cholesterol.
Advice
1.     Atorvastatin 10 mg at bed time orally for 6 months
2.     Regular exercise at least 30 minutes for 5 days in a week. The best types of exercise for lowering blood cholesterol include walking, jogging, cycling, swimming or dancing
3.     Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol
4.     Consume less salt
5.     Avoid eating high energy foods such as cakes, chocolates, and chips
6.     Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and caffeinated beverages
7.     Lose extra weight if you are overweight and keep your body mass index between 19 and 25. BMI is calculated by formula BMI = Weight in kilograms / (height in meters x height in meters)
8.     Reduce your metal stress because stress activates sympathetic system and increases BP
9.     Measure your BP regularly and be in touch with your doctor
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
