Is Cipralex Drug And S Zetalo Same?

I was on Cipralex and found it worked very well, but had to switch to Celexa because my drug coverage did not cover the Cipralex. The celexa is not working as well. What can you tell me about the generic cipralex drug Szetalo and how it compares to the brand name cipralex I am 61, suffer from PTSD, Depression both Chronic and General Anxiety disorder. 5 8 180lbs

Hi,

Both cipralex and S zetalo contain escitalopram which are antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor class used to treat panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, depression etc. Both cipralex and S zetalo can cause improved mood by increasing levels of serotonin which is a neurotransmitter in nature. They may need few weeks for showing their full effects. They generally start to work within 2-4 weeks.
