Is Claratin The Right Medication For Runny Nose And Fever Of A 2 Year Old?
My 2yr old, has a runny nose, cough, fever on and off for the last two days. Also she has been farting real stinky fart. Has not gone poop for 2 days. She barely pees. I started giving her claratin last night. Recommended the pharmacist. Do I need to worry or let it runn it's coarse. Fever is normall 99 or 100.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Though clarirtin is safe for children the age of 2 years, it is indicated for seasonal allergies. If you child is suffering from allergy, Claritin could provide benefit. If the cause of your cjilds symtpoms is something else, a viral cold for example, you are less likely to see a benefit from claritin. I recommend consulting with your doctor before strting any medications.
