Hello, my friend is 30 yrs old, he s working for 16 hours since last 8 years without any break, which includes sundays and public holidays as he s a first genration enterpreneur. Because of which he s under stress. Since last 2 years , he s suffering from constipation and body ache. he has consulted the doctr many times and prescribed ornof and prepro but though the pain eases for a few days, it repeats in every 25-30 days. he also asked whether he should have an ultrasound done but the dr feels it is not required. what could these be the symptoms of and what is the permanent cure given that he can t compromise with his schedule of long working hours
The reason he has constipation is because he is not physically active and he is not drinking enough fluids and diet.
Ask him to be walk at least 30 mins daily once. Drink more than one and half liter of water. Drink lemon juice with sugar. Eat papaya and tomato rich diet. High fiber diet is very important like green leafy vegetables.
He should follow a good diet for constipation like no bakery items.
His posture should be good if he is sitting me for long period of time.

stress in itself can lead to lot of problems though. before we blame stress lets us see whether he has any other symptoms such as weight gain, or loss, pain in abdomen, dry skin. as he has been seen by a doctor the obvious medical causes such as hypothyroidism must have been ruled out.
if not associated with any other symptoms other than bodyache we may be relieved that this is not bad though needs attention.
would suggest you to read about irritable bowel syndrome which occurs as a body's subconscious reaction to stress. treatable though not curable.
