Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a 12 year old son who is no growing like his mates. When he was a child, he was very picky and did not eat much at all. He wouldnt eat fruits excepts apples. I should have consulted a doctor then, but I did not know much as he is my first child. I am very worried about him because his height and weight are far below his mates. Is there anything I can do to see my son grow?
I can certainly understand your concern towards your child growth, I would like to know his weight and height, so that i can get some idea, but I can tell you one thing that there is nothing much to worry, as long as your child is healthy and not sick .
I can suggest some foods which helps in growth, like milk, eggs, soybeans, oatmeal, chicken, spinach, carrots, fruits, whole grains
hope this information would help you.
Post your further questions if any, I will available to take up your follow up questions
Thank you
