Hi doctor online! Please let me know if the dengue recovered patient's thoughts and intelligence be affected? I have a colleague who had just recovered from the virus but she dramatically change her attitude ... from silent type to talkative. Dengue presents with a combination of rash and fever and gets complicated when it presents as dengue hemorrhagic shock where patient has severe bleeding episodes, low platelet count and disseminated intravascular coagulation. There is no affect on the thoughts as such. Your colleague might just be happy that she has recovered from her illness.
