Is Density On Right Side Of Heart A Cause For Concern?

I am a 61 year old relatively healthy (weight wise as well) female. A week ago, I had a chest x-ray done because I had a cold that turned into a nasty cough that has not subsided for over 6 weeks. Following the x-ray, I was put o a 2nd round of antibiotic. This morning I got a call from my Doctor s office saying the radiologist saw a density on the right side of my heart and suggested it could be a fat pad and recommended a CT scan. I am going away out of country for 2 months this Saturday and a CT scan could not be arranged before I leave. He is suggesting that I have it done as soon as I get back. My father had arterialsclerosis and angina. 1) should I be concerned about going away and 2) could this be something else?

Regarding your diagnosed density at your right side of your heart on chest x-ray with symptoms of cough for 6 weeks I will suggest you have developed a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with right sided heart failure

In view of this please schedule an appointment with a pulmonologist specialist for expert clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
