Is Diabetes The Reason For Slow Healing Of Tear Near Urethra?
Dear Doctors, I have some tear near the entrance of the urethrea after the D&C operation, everytime I walk or sit down there will be some blood spotting. I am using the synalar-N for 4 days but not yet fully recovered. Can you give me any recommendation that can speed up the healing. I am a diabetic is this the reason why the wound takes long time to heal? Doctor told me becuase of the estrogen problem which makes my skin becomes thin and easy to get tear, what shall I do ? Thanks
Dear ma'm, definitely uncontrolled diabetes worsen wound and delay its healing. you have not mentioned your sugar status, so it is difficult to comment. at the same time estrogen causing thinning of mucosa also stands true, so that might be contributing as well. you must keep your sugars strictly controlled and reduce estrogen dose minimum and for short duration. regards!
