Hi, This appears to be a condition called antibiotic associated colitis. Here the antibiotic causes an overgrowth of a bacterium which lives in our gut. This bacterium or bug is called Clostridium difficile which causes the gut lining to become inflamed thereby causing diarrhea .
You must stop taking the antibiotic immediately & inform your doctor also.
My advise is that you should also get a test done on your stool . This test is called Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) for C. difficile toxin genes which according to evidence based guidelines is the best test to detect Clostridium difficile. If that test is not available then Toxin A& B enzyme immunoassay may be done. If the Clostridium difficile test comes out as postive then you must get treated for it.
Please stop the antibiotic immediately. Best regards
