Is Difficulty In Lifting Right Arm Caused By Flu Shot Taken 3 Weeks Ago?
I had a flu shot in my right upper arm about 3 weeks ago. I had the normal soreness from the shot. Problem is it has continually gotten worse now impacting my ability to lift anything with my right arm. Soreness cannot sleep in my right side constant ache. Can this be from the shot. Do I need an X-ray?
Based on the description, I suspect that you might have developed an injection abscess at the site of flu shot causing you pain and restriction of movements.
A direct clincal examination followed by radiological investigations (xrays, ultrasound examination) are needed to establish the correct diagnosis.
An initial conservative management in the form of appropriate antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications are needed for a few days for the resolution of the inflammatory process.
I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for further evaluation and management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
