Recently when I lay my head down to sleep I am briefly (2-3 secs) dizzy. Same when getting up. Have recently had major weight loss to reverse Diabetes2. Could it be related to blood pressure? I am still taking Coversyl & Lipitor for BP due to diabetes W
The symptoms seem to be related to orthostatic hypotension. I suggest measuring the blood pressure of a patient while sitting, or lying down, and again while standing.
Meanwhile, I suggest using compression stockings and avoid salt in the diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
