Is Dry Cough A Side Effect Of Taking Lisinopril?

I have been taking lisinopril for about 3 months for mild high blood pressure. I have been having a dry cough especially in the morning and my voice is somewhat hoarse. Could this be from taking this drug. Perhaps I should ask my Dr. if I can stop it for a while since I am currently getting better exercise.

Dry cough is the most common side effect of lisinopril and similar drugs
as captopril or enalapril.If the cough is persistent your doctor may change lisinopril for similar drugs, effective for high blood pressure, for example candesartan, telmisartan or losartan.I wish you good health.
