Is Elevated Bp Despite Medication A Cause For Concern?
Hi, My blood pressure has been 169/99 for the last couple of days. I do take amlodipine-valsartan 10/320 once aday. I do feel dizzy, should I contact my doctor on this? Roxanne
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
BP of 169/99 is high, though not extremely high. The Amlodipine-Valsartan combination does not seem to be effective in controlling your BP. You may need another medicine in addition to the ones that you are already taking, as you are already on the maximum dose of both amlodipine and valsartan. Dizziness can be a symptom of raised BP.
I would advise you to see your doctor regarding this.
I hope this answer has helped you.
