Is Emergency Treatment Required For Nausea And Light-headedness After Injury?
Hi. I hit my head on a shelf at work earlier today. I hit it so hard it knocked a filling right out of my mouth and I nearly blacked out. My eyes aren t dilated but I my head still hurts and I ve been nauseous and light headed ever sense. Should I wait to see how I feel in the morning or should I go to immediate care just in case?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the presentation of symptoms following head injury, it would be advisable to get yourself evaluated by means of observation for first 24 to 36 hours and get investigations done to rule out any internal injuries that might cause problems later. Hence, it would be better that you could be attended to in emergency room. Following observation and evaluation, if there are no major problems, you could be advised accordingly and discharged. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
