Is Extreme Pain While Lying Down A Symptom Of Arthritis?

extreme pain when i was in bed and lessons some when I get out of bed but is istill there. Is this arthritic? When I am sitting it is somewhat less, and will disappear possibly when I walk around. I t seems to be laying down that the pain increases. Do I need to talk to my local doctor?
