Is Fentanyl Patch Safe With Cough?
Hello i have had long cronic pain and failed back surgerys i have drop foot on left side for the last 3 months i have had bad back pain and i have to have sij next tuesday My question his nurse put me on fentanyl patch and i have cronic cough is this right to take or put this patch on as Iam very scared of it?

just a cough is not a problem.but if you are suffering from bronchial asthma or COPD/chronic bronchitis(usually seen in chronic smokers),it is better to avoi fentanyl,as it may causerespiratory depression/bronchoconstriction.you can use non-opioid analgesics.
