Is Fetal Ventriculomegaly Curable?
Hi Doctor, Our unborn child with 4 weeks left to go before birth has just been diagnosed with Internal Ventriculomegaly? The baby is on 9 which is the high end of normal we are told, can this situation right itself and what are the outcomes if it doesn t? Cheers Patrick

An echo test is required immediately after birth to look for other associated defects. Generally, ventriculomrgaly is compatible with life and surgical correction is not needed in most of the cases.
