Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Gall Bladder Removal Necessary In Treating Gall Stones?
had an ultrasound last week, found out today I have several 7mm gallstones with a gall bladder wall thickening of 3mm. I have had constant pain and symptoms for a little over 2 years. meeting with a surgeon this coming Thursday. Im assuming I will have my gall bladder removed. is that a correct assumption?
Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, I think that your assumption is right to get a gall bladder surgery is the best choice you have several gallstones and the pain is because they are small and they're moving, the gallbladder wall thickening is a sign that you have an inflammatory process, all the pain and digestive disorders stop when you get the surgery.I hope that my advice has been helpful
