Is Having Kidney Transplant And Dialysis Recommended For Rise In Creatinine Levels?
My sister has been facing fatigure issue since long, 4 months ago doctors found that creatinine levels were high (6-9 since then) and suggested Kidney transplant and dialysis. so far othe symptoms of dialysisi were not found and doctors suggested to be ready and prepare fistulla. She did. But another doctor seemingly very senior MD medicines suggested biopsy of lymph nodes, and a sample from her back using simultaneous CT scan was drawn which diagnosed tuberculous lymphadenitis. Now she is advised to start TB medicines. Question is: 1. Can this cause creatinine to rise to 8.7(max so far and currently 7.7) 2. What is key observation that would confirm that reduced kidney funtion is not a cause but a result of TBLymph OR viceversa? 3. should she go for dialysis as advised by nephrologist at this stage or wait?
dear friend renal tuberculosis is notoriously difficult to diagnose it is quite possible that her initial and current compromised renal functions may be because of tuberculosis. if there are no major issues of CKD and failure even in my opinion first the offending cause that is tuberculous infection should be tackled. the lymphadenitis may be a result of Tb of the kidney not vice a versa in all probalility. she can go for dialysis at any time if the functions and condition dictate so but the infection should continue to be treated simultaneously
