Is Ice Pack Or Hot Pack Recommended For Healing Knee Injury?
hello doctor i had fallen from my bike yesterday.. my doctor had taken the x-ray &said that there is no fracture but he said it could be an hairline fracture.. ihave been given a brace for my knee..he asked me to rest for 1 week..can i use ice pack or hot pack around my knee now? can i use pillow under my knee? brace should be worn tightly or loosely
This a very good question that you have asked. Immediately after injury for 2 to 3 days apply ice. Brace should never be tight as the swelling may increase causing it to cause further reduction in blood supply. Limb elevation in the form of pillow under the knee helps reduce the swelling.
