Is Increased Level Of Hcg Indicative Of Pregnancy?
I had 4 positive pregnancy tests and I went to the doc to do a hcg test and a ultrasound.. doc stated that she didn t see anything... but it looks like it could ve been a possible collapsed sac... after the appointment she had me do the hcg... a week later asked me to come in and redo the hcg... I got a call today stating my my hcg doubled... started at 3200ish now is at 22000ish dont remember the exact numbers but she also stated that I started out levels showing about 5-6 weeks.. second hcg put me at about 7-8... my question is it possible I still may be pregnant?? Cant keep food down n really tender breasts... no cycle or bleeding since the end of march
If an ultrasound reported a collapsed sac a recent one will have to be conducted to ensure there are no contents of conception left. Once this is done we can completely rule out pregnancy.
But the hCG does take a while to cone down to normal levels. The elevated hCG levels are whats causing your symptoms, once it comes down you should start feeling better.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
