Is It OK To Have A Open Heart Surgery At The Age Of 83?

if someone had open heart sugery at age 83 would they make it? my grandma is 83 and 2 of her heart valves are messed up. she has the choice of sugery, or dying in three months : (. do you think she would make it through the surgery? please help :(

fitness for surgery and anaesthesia not only depends on age but many other things like physical status, associated diseases, cardiac status, pulmonary and renal status and many more, for futher evaluation and risk stratification consult anasthesiologist and cardiac surgeon, If your grandma is physical fit she can be taken for surgery with certain risk
