Here is the main number....(515) 247-3121 Also I have put the only information about accommodations below. I am sure there is a family waiting room near the cardiac intensive care unit, as there is in most hospitals. It would be best to call ahead and ask. Staying Overnight If you need to stay overnight, Mercy has arrangements with several Des Moines hotels close to The hospital to provide overnight accommodations for visitors and relatives of Mercy patients. The hospital also has contracted with Holiday Inn across 6th Avenue to offer discounted Mercy Hotel Rooms for patients' family members. The receptionist at the Mercy Information Desk in the Main Lobby can tell you about the hotels, including a special card Mercy visitors must present to Holiday Inn upon reserving a room. The Information Desk can be reached at (515) 643-4160. Transportation is provided by the hotels. Mercy provides shuttle service between the Downtown Holiday Inn and the Starlite Best Western Hotel, when needed. If you have additional transportation needs from these hotels, call Mercy's Shuttle Service at (515) 247-4246.
