What Does Fluid In The Womb Mean?

I have been bleeding for 11 weeks and so was sent for a US scan & camera was also used. I was told that my caesarian scar had opened internally and I had fluid in my womb. I've got to go for a further scan. What does fluid in the womb mean? The blood I am losing is also very dark brown

Hi,

Sometimes, caesarian scar may leak internally or externally. External leakage may be recognised immediately. However, internal bleeding may not be recognised for a few days or even weeks, particularly if bleeding is small. Some times small bleedings may be resolved by themselves just by taking adequate rest. Collection of blood in uterus might be showing as fluid in US scan. A follow up scan will be needed to ascertain, whether the bleeding is increasing or decreasing or completely stopped and if some surgical intervention is needed or not immediately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
