Is It A Time For Biopsy If Something Is Growing Around Thyroid?

My tsh level is 22.61. I do have a very tiny thyroid and have had 3 ultrasounds done. I have something ( dr. term,) growing around my thyroid. Is it time for a biopsy? I am very worried. I have been on synthroid, different milligrams for almost 10 years. Thank you for your input, and b the way I do not miss a daily dose.

hi, you must be having a nodular goiter. Biopsy is generally not required unless specific pathologies like malignancies are suspected.
On the other hand, you may go for FNAC which is simple and painless, reliable and gives the doctor reasonable information.
Hope this helps.
