Is It Advisable To Take MTPill After 8 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Is it advisable to take MTPill after 8 weeks or exactly at 8 weeks?

My gf's Last mensus was on 8th Dec-2010 and she has taken the MTPill on 07th Feb-2011.

Can she get the abortion done?..pls advise.She wil take Zitotec 200 today.

Pls advise.

Understand your concern
Yes abortion pill is advisable for termination of 8 week pregnancy. But it should be used under advice and supervision of gynecologist after confirming intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan.

Dose: 600 mg mifepristone orally should be followed by misoprostol 400 ug vaginally by gynecologist and another 400 ug after 4 hour if required.

Only Mt pill does not cause abortion. You have to take zitotec as per above dose under observation for successful abortion.
COmpleteness of abortion process should be check by USG scan after 14th day .
