Is It Advisable To Take Food Having Traces Of Silicone?

My mum just burnt a silocone cook thing in the oven along with our tea. There was a fine layer of a white substance everywhere. I think it was a result of the gas. My mum still wants to cook the food as it was covered with tin foil. Would it do any harm if we still ate it? I know it s stupid but times are tough and it would seem a waste.
