Is It Dangerous To Experience Excessive Bleeding After Taking Calcium Citrate And Folic Acid For Delayed Periods?

i am 46 years old lady.last 3 months i hav`nt mentunal periods.now i took calcium citrate malate vitamin D3 andfolic acid tablets.After take 1 tablet i have over bleeding.Now i have taken 3 tablets & all 3 days & now also i have bleeding.Is it danger? Have i take that tablets continuesly.Please answer me Doctor.

The calcium/vit D and the abnormal bleeding are not related. It is a coincidence. Stopping Calcium/vit D will not make it go away, though it will deprive your bones.
Irregular cycles are the hallmark of the transition form the reproductive years to the final menstrual period. Missing three months and then restarting at 46 is very common. Menopause is said to have occurred when an entire year has passed without menses.
Continue your calcium and D. If the irregular periods bother you see you GYN who can help regulate with medicine until the wild ride into menopause settles down.
