Is It Due To Gout There Is Body Pain Due To Intake Of Non-veg?

Hi I have noticed that my entire body aches and pain and has spasms the day after I eat non vegetarian food. I have gout so I, anyway, limit my intake of non veg but the few days that I do, my body aches a lot. I want to understand if they are related or mere co-incidence.

Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic, thanks for posting your query . I understand your concern.

Gout is a condition caused due to increased uric acid levels in your body, and the non-vegetarian food ( lamb/ beef/ pork/ chicken/ sea food) is rich in this uric acid content. So consuming such food might actually trigger your gout condition.
Not only the non-veg food , but also some vegetables like spinach, cauliflower, mushrooms, peas and dried beans can increase your uric acid levels in blood.

I suggest you to avoid such food and to limit them to rare occasions if you have to take them.
Continue your gout medication as prescribed by your physician and get the relevant blood tests done regularly.

Hope this helps , and answers your query satisfactorily .
Do write back to us if you need further assistance .
Take care ,
Wishing you good health .
Regards.
